The article also said she bounced back after the opening statement. I watched the video and she wasn’t very good but Arizona is going to re elect her in a landslide so it’s a moot point.

I wouldn't worry. Bobby Jindal was universally panned after his anxiously-delivered response to Obama's first Not The State Of The Union Address, and he's still one pf the most favored governors in the country.

Well, “cringe-worthy” to someone at CBS could be something as simple as “I pledge allegiance to the flag...” or “My country ‘tis of thee, sweet land of liberty..” or “I believe in God the Father...” or “People living in the United States who aren’t citizens or legal residents or visitors should return to their home countries.”
