Rep. Mike Castle (R) is gearing up for battle in Delaware: He is planning to air negative ads on his GOP primary opponent Christine O'Donnell.
"We're not just going to sit by and let her destroy Mike Castle," a Castle campaign source told Hotline On Call.
Hotline On Call reported that Castle has purchased about $180K worth of air time from Aug. 31 to Sept. 6.

Vote Sept. 14th
I think we should retire him just because we can here. He is 71 that is past retirement age right?
There was another thred on this topic earlier today. One of the posters claimed she had a terible radio interview today. Do you know anything about this interview?
Yep - interviewer wouldn’t let her hardly get a complete sentence out -
Yes, she said - I have some debts from the 2008 campaign that I am paying for ONLY with contributions that are specifically requested for that.
Don’t know how that is ‘bad’.
I hate it when they ask a question and after 3 words, come back at you with a modification or another question...
That was Dan Gaffney on WGMD - After he really got Rollins going the other day, he seems to feel his calling is to skewer other candidates too. Oh well....
Negative? The O’Donnel campaign put up a web commercial yesterday saying Castle was gay. Does that count as negative?
Thanks for the info—I can’t listen to Gaffney—can’t take his voice.
Bill Colley will be on WGMD at 3:00—wonder what his take will be on it.
I met Christine last Sunday with my wife and a liberal friend.
We have sent Christine money twice so far this primary campaign, and I don’t work full time. I have voted for Christine in both of her Senatorial campaigns. She would be exactly 1.679 million times better than Mike Castle.
My liberal friend was so impressed with hearing Christine that she is sending her money. And this is a person who has voted “R” maybe five times in her lifetime.
I hope Sarah Palin comes out for her. Christine met with Sarah on Saturday morning before the Beck rally in DC, and it looked hopeful.
Everyone has a bad interview now and then, if it even was very bad. Christine is a conservative and she won’t waffle like Castle.
And she will win the general election. The mood of the electorate is different now, and my liberal friend is one proof of that.
And why does she have debts from 2008? Because the GOP did not lift a finger to help her against Biden, and she still got 35% of the vote, the most anyone got against Bite Me in almost 40 years.
Well, it’s payback time for the RINOs—all across the fruited plain.
Just sent my $$$ and feel good about it.
She can’t win in bidens home state
$50 bump from California too.
Hannity talking about Christine right now.
Better her losing then Castle winning.
$25 from New Jersey
Not guilty! Go Christine!
That’s a little silly.Clifford Case was better than Bradley, and Brownis better than Coakly and the swimmer, and if Reid wins you,ll have wished Lowden won the primary
NICE!
Who else out there is going to pony up some.
I figure I might as well give it away now, ‘cuz if the Dems still have control after the election, they’re going to take it away anyway.
This is a Republican year. Delaware is not Massachusetts.
Yes, it will be tougher for Christine to beat Coons, but it can be done. Most of the tea party candidates have pretty easy races. Christine would be a tougher one.
Totally not guilty.
Retire the old RINO, they can get pretty senile or just plain cocky at that age.
What was so “bad” about her radio interview?
Castle is a professional, hyper RINO.
