I think that many previously unconnected-to-loosly-connected malevolent factions have been quietly better concerted over the past 20 months under the ever-broadening destroy-America umbrella. ELF I believe has now, as have other "specialty" factions, been given the official green light to work their directed *physical* evil with gaurenteed impunity. And of course a bigger umbrella means the increased division of duties needed to obscure for when the finger-pointing starts as to the cause of these "accidents."

How long will it be this time before Obama even speaks with the CEO of THIS oil company? There's no other answer as to why he didn't speak with the BP CEO for so long other than that it needed to be part of something planned. None, if you really think about it.

The America economy/sovereignty-destroying powers that (now) be are starting to physically deliver their collapse-intending Joe Pesci whack to the back of America's knees: (Physical-structurally) I see our left knee as energy and our right knee as electronic communications.

Soros did some monetary shuffling just last week...and now this explosion...but I'm starting to sound conspiratorial.

The fact that everyone got off the platform is a clue that it was probably not production related, i.e., catastrophic. Most fires offshore are the result of welding and the prodigious amounts of combustible fuels in proximity to said welding.
