80 miles offshore is what depth? Sounds like it’s located in every bit as deep water as the April ‘site?

Probably not as deep, IIRC the Deepwater Horizon was much further out (couple hundred miles). But I don’t know for sure.

There is a shallow shelf in the Gulf extending out past 80 miles. It’s probably only about 200’ deep.

Just over 300 feet, so not deep water. (The April explosion was at a depth of just over 4,500 feet.)
