Now it’s really not so nice....really....
...but my dog, she’s devoted to ridding the world of squirrels and those who dare trespass on her property...well hey, she ain’t hearing nothing about illegal immigration or other nonsense.
Sometimes, I say softly, not most times, not even any significant percentage of the time, she DOES catch the squirrel.
It’s not pretty. Really. Husband and I hold little mournful ceremonies and mention the baby rodents whose Dad won’t be coming home tonight.
Last year, during the winter blizzards caused by Global warming, I fed the birds faithfully as I due with zeal during such weather events.
I look out the door and there’s my neighbor’s black and white cat....sad...I curse that cat as I have four that never leave the house. I see cat dragging something big in its mouth, very big that cat sways with the struggle of porting the item in the deepening snow.
It’s a squirrel-rodent, very, very dead, lost to the cat who probably killed it for sport.
Sad...very sad.
Another squirrel Dad pilfering my bird feeders that won’t make it home to the baby rodents.
