On July 24, the secular press in Britain crackled with news that the Jewish community had been aware of for several weeks: At the end of June, a British senior justice, Judge George Bathurst-Norman, virtually instructed a jury to acquit seven protesters who had broken into and vandalized a Brighton factory, even though there was no question they were the culprits. The damage, committed in January 2009, forced the factory, EDO MBM, to shut down for a week and caused about £200,000 (almost $314,000) in damage. But at trial the defendants denied they were guilty of any crime. They argued that the factory in question, located in Brighton, was manufacturing parts for Israeli warplanes, and that was enough to win them an acquittal in Britain. For some members of the Jewish community, it was a signal they have been expecting. The rise in antisemitism in Britain has been palpable, not so much in terms of violence, although there has been some of that, too, but in anti-Israel rhetoric in the media and, as one member of the community put it, “in the very air we breathe.” “What happened in Judge Bathurst-Norman’s court, is similar to what happened at the beginning of Hitler’s regime in Nazi Germany. When the courts no longer dispense justice, it’s time to pack our bags,” said a resident of the Jewish community in the heavily Jewish London neighborhood of Golders Green.

Sooner than we might expect. Why? Because too many Americans seem to have become too comfortable sitting on their ass and watching TV while the world goes to hell. The few that went to DC to join in the Restoring Honor rally represent probably 1/20th of Americans who care about tomorrow.
Yesterday I wrote this reply http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2580017/posts?page=25#25 to “Seventy percent of Americans know they’ve been conned”. It didn’t draw any response but I didn’t expect that it would when I wrote it. I criticized the Republican Party for their lack of sincere patriotism. Until that begins to grow again in the hearts of Americans and we demand it from our legislature, we can’t expect any improvements.
I would have thought that this thread would have riled up a discussion by some FReeper Jews but apparently not. It’s like watching the Hitlerization of Germany once again. Sheep can’t expect to survive until they grow horns and learn to use them.
