The fast approaching date for the Delaware Republican primary is Tuesday September, 14th. The choice before the voters could not be more stark. Nor could it be more momentous. On this day, the choice of a senate nominee will be made between a dynamic, young committed conservative and a cynical old liberal career politician. This little noticed primary has implications far beyond the borders of the First State.
Who shall represent us? What qualifies one to be senator? Unlike her liberal Republican opponent, Christine ODonnell is not a career politician. In contrast to Mike Castle, she has not spent the past forty years living off the taxpayers and accumulating an estimated $8 million in personal net worth as a public servant. Unlike Mr. Castle, she has not received $3 million in corporate campaign donations this election cycle alone. And unlike him, she did not bankrupt the country in order to fund TARP.
Therefore, unlike Mike Castle, she has not received substantial kicked back campaign contributions from these sameTARP recipients. While the average American, of which Christine ODonnell is one, has struggled under the burdensome economic disaster brought on by irresponsible liberal policies, Mr. Castle has directly benefitted from them.

Is Delaware next for tea party upset?

The conservative blogosphere is talking up a challenge to the moderate-to-liberal Castle in a Senate primary on Sept. 14. Also, the Tea Party Express, which helped direct cash to Alaska Senate primary challenger Joe Miller, is now uring its members to contribute to Delaware challenger Christine O’Donnell.
There are quite a few of us working our asses off to make it so. Castle is the worst of the worst. Mark levin said "Mike Castle is not a moderate. He is a radical socialist." Levin is correct.
They say a half a loaf is better than no loaf at all...in this case, with Mike Castle, you’d barely even get a quarter loaf.
Go Christine!!!
Ping
Is there any reason to believe that Delaware Republicans are suddenly no longer a litter of freaking morons?
Even a litter of freaking morons would get pissed at an incumbent with Castle's record. I believe he is toast. I am praying that I am not wrong.
>>>Is there any reason to believe that Delaware Republicans are suddenly no longer a litter of freaking morons?<<<
Don’t know about the moron part, but they are incensed at the Party! First the State Party Chairman announces that HE has his slate - before the convention, the 350 at the convention rubber stamp it, and then the RNC send in paid staff to help campaign AGAINST other Republican challengers BEFORE the September 14th primary - Both their candidates are out and out RINOs! The voters are fired up - big time!!!
We might just be better off with a Dem in that seat than having yet another moderate “maverick” or whatever you want to call him dragging down the GOP caucus. Castle would go along with the ones from Maine and a couple of others in wanting to “reach out” to the other side, etc. At least after this cycle Voinovich will be gone.

Yes,
Make Cornyn pay for his Murkowski, Crist, and Spectre decisions.
Please send some money to Christine with me.
Sent her a contribution!
Yes, the voters in Delaware ARE fired up and the Castle campaign is shaking in their boots!
Go ODonnell!
DE is such a leftist little state; no wonder it stays small. Name ID means a lot there: Biden, Castle, I can’t remember the other two liberal senators.
Castle makes Voinovich seem conservative.
In this case I believe you are correct. It would indeed be better to have a Dem in that seat. A socialist RINO with Castle's "standing" would give Obama the "bipartisan' cover he would need to advance his agenda in the new congress.
Just donated to Christine yesterday!
Bless you!
Calling Mike Castle a “radical socialist” is actually being very nice. There are other names for him.
