You should have every right to VOLUNTARILY support anyone else's care whom you wish to support, and I will honor and respect you for doing so -- so long as you're not stealing other people's money to do it.

Is money more important to you than a life?

Is it really more important for you to keep your money than to save a life?

No, metmom.

What's important here is obedience to God's Law.

The fact is, if one person is allowed to Steal $100,000 of Other People's Money in order to fund his own care, he may be stealing the discretionary income that 100 other fathers might have used to insure their own children against conditions which might be every bit as serious as the one their money was spent to care for. Because you never know what turns life may take, y'know? The fact is, when you fudge on God's Laws, even for an allegedly "moral" purpose, you never know what moral and physical harms you're going to cause.

Thus, the Biblically righteous position is to support extension-of-life care with voluntary charity, but not to Steal from other people to pay for it.
