Rosa has stayed in because of constituent services. My aunt passed away this year at 100. She and her husband hated FDR. They were always Republicans. A decade ago I was stunned to hear her praise DeLaura. Turned out her son (a Republican) had spent months trying to resolve an issue with his mom's private insurance from Ponds (now Unilever) and Medicare. He was going nowhere. One phone call to Rosa's office got the mess straightened out in two days. She also has won because the old Wooster Street crowd sees her as one of them. I know elderly Sicilians who are devout Catholics but vote for pro-abortion Rosa the Red just because she came up as they did. Rosa may stay but I wouldn't be negative about CT as a whole. Things do change. Towns around me even under FDR were running 3 to 1 Republican. He was pumping a lot of money into CT in the 30s and 40s but many refused the bait. Nothing is forever. We could this year see the power structure weakened.
“Rosa has stayed in because of constituent services.”
This is a poor reason to vote for DeLauro considering how much damage she has done to Ct.
