Illegal voting feared - Latino drive stirs concerns
San Bernardino Sun ^ | August 29, 2010

As Latino leaders and the Catholic Church ramp up efforts to register more Latino voters, immigration activists and some conservatives say they are afraid such efforts are aimed at getting illegal immigrants to vote. While it appears some loopholes could allow illegal immigrants to vote, there's little evidence of illegal immigrants voting, and those behind the registration efforts say they have no need to reach out to illegal immigrants. San Bernardino County, they say, has so many legal Latino citizens who don't vote that just reaching out to them is enough.

"We're not squeezing for extra juice," said Francisco Sol , chairman of the Latino Voter Registration Project. "There's plenty of juice in the first place."

Countywide, 34 percent of voting-age citizens are Latino. In many cities, including Fontana, Rialto and Ontario, Latinos make up roughly half of all, legal, voting-age citizens, according to the most recent U.S. Census Bureau estimates...

But anti-illegal-immigration activists say the result of registration drives that target Latinos will invariably lead to fraudulent registration of noncitizens.

"It's probably the intention for some (groups) but an unintended consequence for most," said Rick Oltman, spokesman for Californians for Population Stabilization. "But regardless of their intention, some illegal aliens will be registered."

For some groups, illegal immigrants at the polls have been a concern for years. But last week, the Catholic Diocese of San Bernardino added a local wrinkle when it hosted a voter-registration training event in San Bernardino aimed at helping register more Latinos...

That effort, said Raymond Herrera, president and founder of the Claremont-based We the People, California's Crusader, is clearly geared toward registering illegal immigrants.

"They're going to apply this at the Catholic churches when people come out of church," Herrera said. "The only people who go to the Catholic church in San Bernardino are illegal aliens. The aim is to register noncitizens."

Even some Catholics at the training session said they are concerned about noncitizens voting.

"I want to make sure whoever signs these are citizens," said Joe Bonadiman, a San Bernardino resident who worships at San Secondo d'Asti Parish in Guasti. "I'm anxious to make sure everything is done properly."

Sol , who led last week's training session, told attendees that only citizens can vote and that, when registering voters, volunteers should ask to make sure registrants are citizens and can vote. He also said illegal immigrants who know they can't vote likely won't try to register.

But Oltman said there have been plenty of cases of illegal immigrants voting. And it does appear possible that an illegal immigrant could register to vote and cast a ballot....

They have to be more than legal, they have to be citizens.

“Illegals voting in California? Surely not.”

Really!

Just because somebody ignores our laws by breaking into our country is no reason at all to suggest that they would also ignore our voting and election laws!

I think that someone is letting their racisism show.....

Two Texans busted in bogus ID operation in NJ
July 21, 2006 -- Pelcastre brothers, Angel and Jorge, Dallas, Texas, were a walking threat to US national security, expert document forgers who, for a few thousand dollars, could give anyone a new identity, authorities said. The Texas brothers turned a NJ hotel room into a business office and were readying a massive cache of fake Social Security cards for delivery to a local NJ identity broker.

The Texas brothers were a "one-stop shop" for a myriad of fake US documents, including birth certificates, Social Security cards, driver's licenses for any state in the US, passports and resident alien cards, said state police. Officers happened upon two cars bearing Texas plates in a NJ hotel parking lot. Authorities wouldn't identify the NJ hotel by name for fear it would spark retribution. The Drug Interdiction Task Force, regularly runs checks.

The Texas brothers were followed to a NJ office supply store nearby where they purchased computer supplies. Officers then followed the Texans to a NJ storage facility in Secaucus, NJ, where the Texans loaded several boxes into a car. One of them stood lookout. Authorities approached the Texas brothers when they returned to the NJ hotel and questioned them separately. The Texas brothers consented to a search.

Police recovered laminating sheets with built-in security features, pages of blank documents waiting for fake names and information, finished documents, computers and software to create the fake IDs.

All told, the haul was worth about $500,000 on the street. Police also recovered $6,000 in cash, which was the first payment from a NJ fake document broker for a shipment of 500 Social Security cards.

Police: Man sold fake auto tags, vehicle registrations
July 13, 2010,

A 42-year-old Vineland, NJ man created phony temporary tags and vehicle registration documents that he sold to more than 120 people over the course of a year, authorities said. Using a laser-jet printer, metallic tape and some craft supplies, Victor L. Garcia forged dozens of Pennsylvania and Delaware temporary license plate tags and coordinating registration paperwork.

Authorities said they uncovered the fraud after sheriff's officers noticed a recent abundance in counterfeit tags in the area. Authorities towed more than a dozen cars with phony tags in the past four weeks before arresting Garcia. Their investigation led them to arrest Garcia during a traffic stop Friday -- roughly one block from the Sheriff's Dept headquarters.

Inside Garcia's truck, officers said, they found several phony documents and duplicate license plate sets. Later, at Garcia's home, officers confiscated dozens of fake tags and documents, along with the materials used to make them, authorities said. Officers said they also seized a records book containing names of customers, phone numbers and documentation of past sales. At a news conference they presented a slew of confiscated evidence, including master license plate templates, construction materials and $850 cash.

The Sheriff's Department estimates it cost Garcia roughly 50 cents to make each plate, which he then sold for $65 or $70. Garcia, who otherwise was unemployed, delivered the completed paperwork and plates to his customers' homes, concealed inside a newspaper, authorities said.

Garcia faces charges of fraud, forgery and counterfeiting for allegedly making and selling 26 counterfeit Pennsylvania temporary tags, 12 counterfeit Delaware temporary tags, 22 counterfeit Pennsylvania registration forms and 12 counterfeit Delaware registration forms, police said. The next step is to investigate Garcia's alleged customers and press motor vehicle charges for having counterfeit documents.

Are you ready for this, Americans?

The "American" Bar Association's new president, Stephen N. Zack, will announce a new direction for US law.

Zack intends to hold public hearings across the country to “study” whether the US legal system is “addressing the needs of Hispanics.”

What's next, Zack----imposing Sharia Law on Americans?

The ABA is no longer concerned with “US law.” They Are Peddling Race Instead of Law. The ABA is poised to segregate Americans into classes each with their own “laws.”

According to the ABA, we now have “Hispanic law,” “African American law,” "Sharia Law," “Gay Law.” ………………… maybe a little “White law” thrown in here and there. Maybe “non-human law” is next? In case your dog might want to sue someone.

The reason we have “Hispanic law”? Because Stephen N. Zack the new president of the ABA is a Cuban-lawyer from Miami, Florida. Can you say conflict of interest?

The disturbed left’s identity politics, its propensity to separate us and balkanize American into different segments moves ahead apace with the era of Obama........

Obama....you remember him, that post-racial president that was supposed to “heal” America? Yeah, that one.

There is a simple way to curb illegal voting and fraud in elections.

We need to adopt the system the anti-gunners used against gun owners. A system of instant background checks need to be put in place where anyone who wishes to vote must complete a 4473 style form and pass a NICS check to be eligible to vote.

The exact same disqualifiers that exist for guns would need to be applied. It will slow things down a bit but if it prevents fraud, the inconvenience is worth it.

After all, with the 2008 elections, it’s proof beyond a shadow of a doubt that elections are far more dangerous than any gun.

This almost doesn’t even matter because the future is already clear. These people have been allowed to breed citizen children unimpeded. Soon a huge wave of those anchor babies and their copious offspring will be voting and they’ll be nothing we can do about. Its a huge demographic danger to the party.

Not if we deport their asses first. Taxpayer funded children of illegal aliens should be - illegal aliens.

The problem is that these children are not illegal. Under our flawed constitution they are legal. Maybe we get rid of ‘em with their parents for a while but they’ll be back.
