EDGARTOWN, Mass. -- President Barack Obama is wrapping up his vacation on Martha's Vineyard and heading for New Orleans to mark the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.

I don’t think she’s wearing a bra: I think those are undershirt (”vest”, camisole) straps. My daughters wear such garments under their t-shirts, because they don’t have sufficient bosom, at 12 and 10, to need a bra, but I won’t let them wear anything too flimsy without something under.
WHY won’t she do her hair and her daughters’ hair, and have them put some decent clothes on? Admittedly, I have trouble getting my girls to wear things that aren’t ratty, but if they were being photographed for posterity ...
Elen wore a skirt and blouse (mine, clean, no holes) for debate on Saturday, and Sally will wear the same things (quick turnaround on the wash) for our neighbor’s domino club tomorrow.
Because she wants to appear profane, i.e. common. That way the family representing America sends the message to the world that America is profane. Nothing special about the family in the White Hut... no, they are just clueless slobs, and that's the way it is supposed to be. Yeah, why bother to look dignified. That would be a glorification of a people and a system that is just so yesterday. Full of white racist dead men's bones and all that.
I think you’re right, because it takes effort too look as bad as the Obamas do. I go to Walmart better dressed than that.
And what do you figure that Michelle wouldn’t want to be caught dead in a Wal-Mart, but with exposed cleavage, undergarment straps and thong outlines (not to mention boob belts)... no problem. Ugh.
I remember the back view of the family when they were visiting the Grand Canyon. Malia was wearing a racerback tank top with regular bra straps hanging out. Maybe they were camisole straps but the effect was the same: tacky. How about a lightweight, cap-sleeved cardi to add polish and grace to a girl’s casual summer attire? Well, we already know Michelle has done to the look of a classic cardigan.
Doesn’t the guy holding the drink look like the guy in a hundred katrina photos? ..the guy in the water?
Did I fall for a photoshopped picture?
