SENATE RACE: Miller's camp says GOP group is preparing for legal battle.
There were more allegations by the Joe Miller campaign of ballot-counting monkey business on Saturday as the absentees continue to pour into the Alaska Division of Elections. State elections officials now say there are 23,472 ballots to process, with more coming, and the first count set for Tuesday.
Miller currently leads Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski by 1,668 votes in the Republican primary.
Miller campaign spokesman Randy DeSoto said in an e-mail Saturday that there are many calls going out to Alaskans who voted absentee ballots, asking them who they voted for in the primary.
DeSoto said his basis for making that assertion is that a woman contacted the Miller campaign about getting a call, that such a call was brought up in the comment section of a story on the Daily News website, and that several people had called an Anchorage talk radio show to say they've received such calls.
"I believe, and time will prove it, (the calls) are being done for nefarious purposes," DeSoto said in the e-mail. "It is definitely not being done by the Joe Miller campaign. It is being done, I believe, by the National Republican Senatorial Committee or someone they contracted with as the beginning of a legal battle to throw out ballots."

Fishy is the word. I wonder how the Republicans will explain it?? I wonder if anyone would vote for the RINO if the vote scam works?? I would not.
Smoking out the RINOS all across the country.
Can they control the mail in ballots easier. You betcha!
Who are the GOP big wigs?
Alaska U.S. Senate Candidate Joe Miller vs. Dan Fagan the Drama-man
http://www.redcounty.com/content/alaska-us-senate-candidate-joe-miller-vs-dan-fagan-drama-man
The other day, I had the chance to listen to radio personality Dan Fagan literally scream at U.S. Senate candidate Joe Miller on KFQD, 750 AM and call Joe Miller a liar.
In the clip below, you will hear a portion of the exchange between U.S. Senate Candidate Joe Miller and Dan Fagan.
The issue that was being contested by Dan Fagan was what Joe said in a Human Events article written by Jedediah Bila.
There is a quote in the article that Fagan took issue with and was his reason for calling Joe Miller a liar.
“She refused to vote to repeal Obamacare; I would.” (Joe Miller)
Let me make one observation. This article was written by Palin hater Sean Cockerham at the Anchorage Daily News (Daily Worker, acc. to Alaska Freepers). It should therefore be taken with a huge grain of salt. he is trying to gin up as much controversy as possible becasue it hurst only the GOP.
Also, the article says very clearly:
“The Division of Elections said Saturday that it had 23,472 ballots to process so far. Most are expected to be cast for the Republican primary race between Miller and Murkowski, but a portion will be for the Democratic primary instead.
The tally includes 13,740 absentee votes, out of a reported 16,000 absentee ballots that had been requested. There are another 9,069 questioned ballots, some of which will be disqualified. Elections officials said there are also 663 early votes that still need to be counted.”
Not all the votes are (Absentees and questioned votes) are GOP votes. Some are Democrats. I think the NRSC and Murkowski are trying to disqualify Miller votes, but I saw the interview with Sara Palin in which she said Miller would have final victory soon and the she, her family and friends all voted absentee. She is sending us a message that all is well. Miller will win.
The GOP Establishment will once again be vanquished by Palin and her allies. And I don’t believe she would have made such a bold prediction of success for Miller if she didn’t have inside information of where the absentees are coming from and Miller’s likely showing there. Miller is likely far ahead with the absentees because his type voter votes absentee (fisherman, oil workers).
Remember this as well. Murkowski doesn’t need to break even by cutting Miller’s lead with absentees. She needs to beat him with absentees. Looking at the confident Sarah Palin as she predicted his victory, I thought to myself: That ain’t happening. Miller has an insurmountable lead both in the election day vote and in the absentees.
Then Fagan went on to endorse Joe Miller, nuch to Murkowski’s shock!
It is said that Fagan’s endorsement had a last minute impact on the race in favor of Miller.

Joe Miller is coming up on Face the Nation in 20 minutes.
I want to hear what he has to say.
I hope you’re right. I think he’ll ‘legitimately’ win the absentee ballots also.
I got an email from last night, which I posted. I know I pinged you to at least one of the postings.
The absentee ballots had to be postmarked no later than August 24, 2010.
I think that’s the problem with some of them.
Mass mailing once Murkowski saw she was losing..... on election night.
No, I don’t think the absentee votes have doubled but the press is using the number of total (Dem & Pubbie) ballots. The number of Republican ballots issued from what I have read is in the neighborhood of 8,000 ballots. (Total requested ballots was about 16,000 -Dem & Pubbie)
I think the press is trying to get us stirred up and Dems are probably trying to instill doubt about outcome.
OK thanks. I get it now. I hope Miller wins I saw him on Face the Nation and he is really good. Very straight up.
The whole point is that these committees are too important. Federal power must be rolled back.
That goes for the GOP as a whole too...
There may be no party left for Sarah to redeem.
LLS
Why do you think the energy committee is too important and what will Joe do to change the committee structure?
Not just the energy. All of it. Too much power is centered in the Federal Government.
