Longtime Dallas congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson has awarded thousands of dollars in college scholarships to four relatives and a top aide's two children since 2005, using foundation funds set aside for black lawmakers' causes.
The recipients were ineligible under anti-nepotism rules of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, which provided the money. And all of the awards violated a foundation requirement that scholarship winners live or study in a caucus member's district.
Johnson, a Democrat, denied any favoritism when asked about the scholarships last week. Two days later, she acknowledged in a statement released by her office that she had violated the rules but said she had done so "unknowingly" and would work with the foundation to "rectify the financial situation."

Turns out; they aren’t.

No mention of party in title, subtitle, first sentence, or first paragraph...therefore its a democrat.
BTW..do we know how the favored recipients have done academically?
I best remember her asking if the Mars rover would be able to see the flag the astronauts placed there. And there is always the sight of her clamoring to a spot on the rail so she would be front and center when a President entered the House for a speech. She and her red coat were a permanent sight, acting as if she is the best friend and strongest supporter of the President no matter who he was.
But does that mean she is too dumb to cheat? After all, she is a Democrat.
I tell you people in Dallas don’t mind that at all. You will see on November 2.

She said she has given all the money back ($25,0000).
She said she has been “working like the devil” for her district.
At last she got that part right.
