The National Park Service doesn’t give official crowd estimates anymore. There were protests that they underestimated the size of the Million Man March, so they decided after that not to give an estimate of the crowds. This way they can avoid complaints from anyone that the crowd was really larger/smaller than reported.
I could not attend, but at one time this afternoon I joined them on ustream web site Over 130,000 viewers.Cspan might have outed Fox’s ratings.
And don’t forget that probably hundreds of thousands watched the event on TV or the Internet, as I did. They should not be discounted. I really wanted to be there, but travelling is getting very difficult for me physically.
