ITHACA, NY--According to an upstate New York paper, "a candidate for state Senate announced that people should vote for her because she's a woman."
Pamela Mackesey of Ithaca is a Tompkins County legislator and a Democratic candidate for the 53rd District Senate seat occupied by George H. Winner Jr., R-Elmira. Winner is not seeking re-election.During a stop at Elmira College, which was a women's school when it was founded in 1855, Mackesey pointed out that while women are active in the voting booth, they are less visible when it comes to running for office.
"In 2010, 84 percent of the members of the state Senate are men. No woman has ever represented our district in the 90 years since women's suffrage," Mackesey said.
"I think it's time we changed that..."
At a stop in Ithaca, Mackesey repeated her plea for the woman's vote and went on to imply that women were naturally more honest than men:
Cleaning up Albany seems like childs play compared to what we women have already achieved, Mackesey told an audience at the Ithaca Commons.Im not saying that having more women in the Senate would lead to ethics reform, but no woman there is under indictment. Im not saying more women would deliver an one-time budget, but three men in a room is, well, three men in a room, she quipped.
Pamela Mackesey of Ithaca
I will be charged with sexism for this, because that’s how political correctness works. But she’s allowed to tell jokes about three men in a room not resolving budget problems. But somehow, put three women in a room, and the budget is magically balanced? The jokes could write themselves, but political correctness doesn’t allow me to go further with it.
I’m sure she’s consistent and believes that everyone should vote for Sarah should she run.
Probably works well in NY.
Could you imagine a man saying this stuff in reverse today?
Why is Ithica the city of Evil? I always thought it was just another college town ...
When you vote for me you vote for John Thomas as well!
Read up on it, you’ll soon see.
Well, it makes elections really easy for the pee-pul. I mean you don’t have to do all that hard thinking about the issues, or even the tedium of finding out what the representatives are like. All you have to do is check on what they have between their legs.
lol.

And they claim men think with their Johnsons.
It worked for Obama. “Vote for me, I’ll be the first black POTUS.”
I’d be surprised to hear this from a candidate from Manhattan, but this one is from upstate New York.
“Vote for me only because I have a vajayjay!”
Yeah, right.
Can you imagine a white man making an appeal like this?
For the ruling class identity politics always trumps.
Democrats: Vote for a woman ... unless she’s a conservative woman ... then don’t vote for her, she’s not even women anyway.
Ditto for blacks, latinos, etc.
