Wouldn't it be interesting if the RNC and Co. had the sense to actually capitalize on this fiasco in the making. Imagine a republican campaign ad saying

"we understand that this current regime is intent on destroying the America you once knew and loved. Our promise to you is to restore the America that made you proud on Memorial Day and the Fourth of July.

We pledge to roll back the creeping socialism that is stealing your freedoms and your economic security. We pledge to repair the effects of craven and cowardly foreign policies weakening our world standing. Vote on November 2. For us. For America.
