If any insurgent GOP candidates can actually be elected to office - THAT will be something to see.
But the Crist and Murkowski examples are cause for concern.
The state of the GOP civil war is as follows: Trucons are now powerful enough in many states to prevent a RINO from winning, by witholding their votes (thereby allowing the communist to win). The RINO counteroffensive began in Pennsylvania with Arlen Specter (who lost), but NY-23 was a warning about the limits of trucon power. If Crist wins, or gets Meeks elected, or if Murkowski can sink Joe Miller, the RINOs rising power will have to be accomodated somehow, or the RATs will sweep the board with 40% of the votes.
