The Department is conducting the civil rights investigation under a federal law provision that permits the government to scrutinize state agencies that receive federal funding. If the agency is deemed to have engaged in discriminatory behavior it could risk losing federal grants.

The thieves in Washington steal it from you, and then attach their evil strings and pretend to be generous and magnanimous when they give a little of it back. I hope a shooting war starts between Arizona and the feds. I will side with freedom lovers.

We are already in CW II, it is a cold war for now, the hot war may be coming soon.

Every state between AZ and VA will side with any governor that kicks the Feds out of their state. Its gonna happen, just when; that is the question.

Whether one wants this or not, and whether or not its permissible to say such things in this forum, this is indeed what must happen, if the growing Government Monster is ever to be halted, and ultimately slain.

It will take an open “revolt” by at least one state — followed by several additional states — all standing up to the government, defying the president, the Congress AND the courts — to elevate this to a “point of no return” (a new “Fort Sumter”?) from which we either go forward towards restoration, or forward towards a “dicatatorship of the elites”.

Yes, I know. Historically, the Republic has been able to solve all of its disputes through peaceful means — all but one. That “divide” was so intractable that peaceful resolution was not and could not have been possible.

Today, however, in the face of ever-growing government control through laws and regulations, combined with intolerable edicts from an unelected “courtocracy”, there is a “Great divide” again in the country that seems as intractable as slavery once was. On one side are those (mostly of European descent) who distrust government power and wish primarily “to be left alone”. On the other side is a growing cohort of mostly-non-Euro descent, that embraces the notion of an all-powerful government that will take care of their every need — and all they have to give up is any notion of the “freedom” that the European cohort cherishes.

Call it “the NEW slavery” if you wish. On this modern “plantation”, the elites of Washington are “the new massas” and their bureaucratic underlings are the “overseers”. And the new slaves are happy, so long as they get their handouts.

How long will the new plantation last?
