They are seeing how far they can push before someone pushes back. It won't be pretty.

Strangely, I dont see the DOJ ranting and raving about a local city setting aside Federal law

Don’t you love how they take to the streets to “command” that their wishes be followed? What is wrong with this country that we have reached a point where non-citizens are allowed to “Command” that citizens bend to THEIR will?

If we are going to guarantee safe passage, and protection from arrest, for those who WON’T use the LEGAL MEANS to cross the border, then there is no purpose in having a border. Nor ICE. Nor DHS.

Next, are they are going to want to be provided with DeWalt or Craftsman brand tools to cut through our border fences, not just some cheap imitation made in China?

They are in no position to demand anything. They deserve deportation, nothing more.

RE :”A group of Latino activists, clergy and civil rights leaders took to the street this week to command Baltimore officials to further solidify the city’s measures to shield illegal aliens from federal authorities. Like many law enforcement agencies across the nation, Baltimore Police bans its officers from inquiring about suspects’ immigration status. Now emboldened illegal immigrants want the policy in writing to reduce crime and help bridge the gap between officers and immigrants after the recent murders of three Hispanic men in the area. ...But Baltimore Police Chief Frederick Bealefeld asserts that a written policy is unnecessary because his officers never ask about immigration status as per the citywide sanctuary measures. In the three years he’s served as department head, Bealefeld says he hasn’t heard “one utterance on enforcement of immigration laws.”

I wish our friend AuntB was here to see this.

See, democrats turning at Baltimore into little LA. And illegals have to worry in Baltimore as it is a very dangerous City and they are far outnumbered, lots of gun deaths for a small city; but not by Tea partiers like MSNBC claims. I avoid the place.

Illegals today, democrat voters tomorrow. Already making demands.

Sanctuary cities are in violation of US law.

If Baltimore passes this into law, I fully expect the Obama administration to file suit against them for inserting themselves into what should be a federal responsibility. After all, isn't that the basis on which they sued Arizona?

By the way, I won't be holding my breath. Obama only files suit to promote his liberal agenda. It has nothing to do with actual law.

"Illegal aliens want"?! Since when have they had the right to "want" after breaking various standing Federal Immigration Laws? =.=
