Liberals plot to ‘Turn off Fox News’ in public places
San Francisco Examiner ^ | 8/26/2010

SNIP...Here is their credo:

Some businesses play Fox without having thought about it at all, and may not know how divisive and dangerous Fox is. Turn Off Fox will help you work with others in your area (and across the country) to identify places that play Fox, ask them to change the channel, and explain why they should.

It’s easy! Arm yourself with a few PDFs and make your case. After that, report back to your leaders, notify them where Fox is playing, and tell them how the business owner responded to you.

For the ‘Turn off Fox’ers,’ Fox News is not just a channel for news, its a channel for evil.

“Fox News isn’t just the home for hate, it’s the home for dangerous and lazy journalism.” says featured member Malkia Cyril, “It’s time for the public to turn off Fox News’ lies.”

Ok a disclaimer here, I love in MA, and frequent my home state of CT,

I've seen it on in some CT bars. By the way, who do you love in Massachusetts?

LOL - 'We don't like what you do so we're gonna sneak around and change channels'.
This is the same type of mindset that compels people to incessantly post anti-Palin screeds on Internet sites.
Loons on the Left and loons on the Right have much more in common than not.

This does not surprise me one bit. I travel a lot: 75-80 hotel nights last year.

I am not shy about changing channels (after asking anyone if they mind) in hotel public areas (bar, Private Lounges) I always make a point to turn on the Fox News channel, even if I am not going to watch it.

I have even called down to the desk and complained if it is not available on their cable system.

You have to fight fire, with fire.

Fox News has the highest ratings so why wouldn’t a smart business person want them on their TV? These idiots have tried this before and FAILED miserably.

Exactly.....in fact, they need to hiss and make claw-like, grabbing motions with their little hands as they say it. Devastatingly effective.

They’re gonna get a kick when they see my traveling shirt tonight at the airport (going to DC). I had it made, “Annoy a liberal, watch FOX NEWS”. Can’t wait.

This tactic is straight out of the Alinsky playbook. These are the same folks that have “coexist” bumperstickers.

Back when Iraq was still fairly new, some friends and I countered a ANSWER rally. One of my friends walked around their booths. She saw a “coexist” sticker next to a “Kill Dick Cheney” sticker. Really tells it all.

Glad you mentioned the CNN mind control at the airports.

Who owns the rights to the waiting areas, transmissions & installation of TVs at airports?

Do the airlines decide which channels to broadcast in their seating areas?

LOL it is pretty obvious huh. No other possible reason to move here. Believe it or not, I didn’t follow politics much, except for CT politics and had no idea what I was moving into. Hadn’t discovered FR or even computers to any degree of skill either. It was quite an rude awakening!!! The only thing I can say is the taxes are considerably lower in MA.

Lies?
It is the only news on TV that comes even remotely to telling the truth!! The State-run media is exactly that - they play Obama’s tunes every night and the Kool Aid public drinks it up!!

There is a diner near me that is owned by Greeks. They proudly fly American flags and have Fox News on the TV’s.

I would LOVE to see some smelly lib storm in and try to get the channel changed. Greek kitchens have alot of sharp knives.
