At a college my son attended It appeared that the reception committee for new students was just a bunch of lesbians. Also the faculty member in charge of this group was obviously lesbian. They did a presentation for the parents. One of them openly admitted to being the leader of the student gay group. Curiously she was extremely attractive. The others were identifiable by their rainbow stickers and general appearance.
Maybe. But there's no reason to claim both sexes on FR. Just give your opinion on politics.
Yes it is. And I object to a poster using being male or female to back up a point when they have used both. They can't be both.

Yup. I get mistaken for a male because of my name. I usually correct them. To do otherwise is dishonest.
I’ve had that happen to me a few times, which seems odd to me.
It depends on how someone “reads” your name, as a single name or a name with an initial after it.

...I merely pointed out that the poster cannot be a former altar boy and a woman. They stated both.
I do not know purpleporter, and it should be interesting if she (or he) responds to her (or his) posts on this message thread to clear up this apparent question of her (or his) gender.
However, I will point out that being a former Catholic alter boy... and now currently being a (legal if not natural born) woman is not an impossibility.
It does involve a therapist knowledgeable in gender issues, a doctor to prescribe cross-gender hormone therapy, an electrologist to painfully zap off all the facial hairs one at a time, a couple of surgeons to change things around some, and the assistance of an attorney to get the legal paperwork in order. Also some time and money to make it happen...
But it is possible...

Yes indeed; normal and natural. Painting a mental illness as normal and natural inevitably leads to social breakdown.

Well, considering that women are far more likely to be aggressors than men in a DV incident, seeing how they are doubling the odds, and throwing in a big social dysfunction wrench into the mix is a real recipe for disaster.
