Shouldn’t that be called a “sore loserman” law?

Maybe Miller wouldn’t want him, but remember that Micurseki is a RINO buddy of McCain’s—very establishment GOP. It would humble the nasty old fossil to campaign against her. He’d hate it. I’d love just about anything he’d hate.

It wasn’t reelection, it was when she had to face the electorate for the full term after her appointment in 2002. She drew a first-tier opponent in Dem ex-Gov. Tony Knowles and she won by a narrow 49-46% margin in 2004.

This crap is getting ou of hand. It’s a media driven frenzie.

Roses of Sharon posted a link to another article., that says Lisa’s team and some media have found a “secret loop hole” that will allow her to make a third party run.

Phooey!

She might try a “write-in” campaign, but that won’t fly and I seriously doubt that Alaskans would look favorably on such sore loser nonsense.

“Alaska has a sore loser law.”

Terrific concept.

On an earlier thread some posted something about Alaska’s Sore loser law that would prevent her from running.

She can’t. Alaska has a sore loser law. If you lose a primary contest in a recognized party you cannot later run in the general election as an independent. She had until June 10, 2010 to file for an independent run.

Good to know. Indie runs have a potential to kill us.

We discussed this last night and the answer was no. I have pinged some to this thread, but I honestly don;t recall who found the information.

Wishful thinking or desperately hysterical - write-in campaign or secessionist party? LOL AK has the sore loser law and she’s already missed the June 1st deadline for filing as independent. Write in is all she’s got. Good luck with that!

That’s what I meant. I knew it was a close race. Who is the Dem for ‘10? Can Miller beat him, ya think?

I hope you are right!

These Republicans who run 3rd party do so when the MSM signals them that media coverage will be kind.

She rightfully thinks the media will help her with Alaskans...hope those citizens stand firm in saying...just be classy and concede Lisa!

"There ought to be a rule that if you lose a primary and chose to run as an inpendent, you have to return with interest every penny ever donated to any of your campaign by any politial party. "

In some states, that is indeed a rule. You can't run as an independent in the general election if you're on the ballot as an Republican/Democrat in the primary election.

What about a run on the AIP (Alaska Indepence Party) line?
