If this story is true, I would think a call to a lawyer might be worth a few minutes of this man's time. False imprisonment is a serious crime.

Just wondering, though...

Do'ya think maybe there's some language tucked deep in the Obamacare bill that makes it possible for health care facilities to detain a person against their will? Changes to legal language that has the effect protecting or immunizing health care providers from legal action stemming from such actions? Changes in language that was originally intended to enable mental health facilities to hold dangerous patients against their will, expanding the domain over which that language is applicable?

You can be confined by the state for a "safety check." Habeas Corpus does not apply. Happened to a friend of mine, they had him locked up for four days (family dispute, his Sis had it in for him).

Then there was the guy in Oregon who bought too many guns after being put on Admin. Leave from his job, and was picked up the SWAT team:
