JD got almost twice as many votes as the democrat who will now go up against McCain in November.
Winning this hotly contested primary was a challenge. I had a lot of support within my district and from around the country. Like Joe Miller in Alaska, the support Sarah Palins endorsement brought to my campaign was instrumental. The Arizona First Congressional District is one of Palins targeted 20 to re-take America from the far left. I will need help from across the country to defeat an entrenched liberal. Thank you again for your continuing support.

“JD got almost twice as many votes as the democrat who will now go up against McCain in November.”
Given there was no real race on that side of the isle, to try to equate that that means anything is wishful thinking and dillusion.
The republican party certainly has momentum, and there is no doubt a conservative movement rising against moderate republicans as well.. and yet, in spite of this, JD got trounced. He couldn’t win the republican vote in a year where conservative ideals are on a massive rise.
The fact that he couldn’t take out McCain in my mind shows that hes not ready for prime time.. you may think otherwise, and who knows in 6 years if he’s still floating around who knows.. but with McCain being a moderate republican and a very well known one in his own state, and still got absolutely trounced by him, shows me that JD wasn’t the candidate for the job.
