These microbes, or bugs as we call them, that the caller is talking about are a problem for every boat with a diesel fuel tank. If they get into your tank, they thrive in the oil and they create waste, as all living things do.

The waste clogs fuel filters and cuts the flow of fuel to your engine, usually at the worst possible time.
