[Did God reach you through fire and brimstone or by the touch of someone who cared?]
Ps 107:10-16

10 Some sat in darkness and the deepest gloom, prisoners suffering in iron chains,
11 for they had rebelled against the words of God and despised the counsel of the Most High.
12 So he subjected them to bitter labor;they stumbled, and there was no one to help.

13 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.
14 He brought them out of darkness and the deepest gloom and broke away their chains.
15 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men,
16 for he breaks down gates of bronze and cuts through bars of iron.
NIV

The former Catholics I have met in Anglican church are not disgruntled, they feel a loss. They're not angry at Catholicism, they are seeking an altar.

As far as getting a hierarchy to declare one's former marriage not a marriage in the eyes of God is simply an insult to the *real* wife (because the first has priority according to Jesus in all four gospels) and offspring. I don't say this from a doctrinal point of view, but a common sense observation of the proceeding. It's just heaping calumny upon calumny. It's just bad manners. The homewrecking woman (who come in all creeds) not only took a husband and father from his family, but proceeds to try to blanket her sin in gobbledygook. I don't object to the Catholic barring a remarried divorcee from the altar, I object to the ridiculous Kennedy-esque legalism to get around the problem. At least the homewrecker ought to have to do public penance.

[A Christian private school typically restricts it’s students to those with Christian parents.]

Typically - but not always.

I attended LCMS Jr. & Sr. High Schools during the 70's - after mandatory bussing/integration started.  My dad was a LEO and there was no way he was sending his kids into the public school REVOLUTIONARY environment he and his fellow officers had to deal with professionally on a daily basis.

A number of my classmates were cop's kids like me, and we all had various religious backgrounds.

There were also a number of classmates who were there after having been expelled from public schools.  Drug use was a common reason.   For them and their parents, Lutheran High was a last refuge and hope.   Some of them didn't make it and were sadly expelled from there too.

The difference between that situation and the present one, is that the parents of those "non-christian" kids back in the 70's - weren't part of an activist group having the documented, announced, explicit intent of subverting the Christian Doctrinal Framework of the Church and School.

[You don’t have a clue what they’re teaching those kids about sexuality.]

Don’t have a clue? Their fellow PROUD activists put it on PARADE.

>>Can you imagine anybody “wanting” to be gay?

Does anybody “want” to be a heroin addict?

People engage in self-destructive behavior as part of their sinful nature - especially when they refuse to RTFM and fail to recognize the unhealthy due penalties documented therein.

Private schools, at least for now, have options to accept or disallow students. Public schools do not have this option.

Send the child to a public indoctrination school, where gay and lesbian lovers with children are accepted.

Better yet, home school. This way, you are assured your child will learn to accept the values you hold dear.

When my daughter was kindergarten age, I sent her to a very conservative Baptist school. It was also a good school and she was happy there. They would not let parents wear shorts to pick up their children. Ha!

But ... their school, their choice.

I changed clothes and, properly attired, picked my daughter up from this very good school.
