Retrial for Blagojevich could be early next year (missing mid-terms)

Former Gov. Rod Blagojevich may not have to face a retrial until early next year, but next time around his legal team could be far fewer in number.

That was the information passed to lawyers in the case in a conference last week, according to sources familiar with the matter.

U.S. District Judge James Zagel told the attorneys he is eyeing January for the second trial, the sources said, and he has suggested Blagojevich can have two court-appointed attorneys who are paid with taxpayers funds.

I suspect many Democrat politicians would prefer that Blago be tied up in court during the new few months than running around spewing his BS to every media outlet that will buy him a plane ticket.
