“The DoD survey on effects of repeal of DADT is telling: it basically assumes repeal and asks us to specifically identify each and every way the repeal would be a bad thing for readiness, families, workplace, etc. Nowhere (except at the “anything else” block at the end) are we asked whether we believe homosexual “rights” are valid. Makes me wanna puke.”

Yep....I was tagged to complete one and was appaled at the way the questions were worded. They don’t want to hear what we really think. Although, out of respect for the brass, this was as probably good as they could get approval from the POTUS.

Also, my wife received the spouse survey and it is poorly written as well. About the only thing one can say on these surveys is that they would not recommend the military to anyone if DADT was repealed.

Mrs Colonel made me sit down with her to finish the thing last night (she’s pretty distant from the day-to-day military, me bein’ a reservist). She did the same thing, and freestyled the “military service is a privilege, not a right” answer at the end. I love that woman!
