Obama Administration Tells U.N. It’s Committed to Closing Gitmo, ‘Fixing’ Immigration

In the first ever self-assessment of America’s human rights record, the Obama administration has informed the United Nations that it remains committed to closing the detention center at Guantanamo Bay and to “fixing our broken immigration system.”

A report delivered to the U.N. Human Rights Council (HRC) in Geneva on Friday and released by the State Department on Monday describes the “great strides” the U.S. has made towards ensuring equality of the law for all Americans. The report also acknowledges that work remains to be done.

The report – which now goes to the U.N. for review -- was drawn up following a series of consultative sessions between January and April involving federal agencies and civil society organizations, including the American Civil Liberties Union, NAACP, American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee and Human Rights First.

The report’s compilation is part of the “universal periodic review” (UPR) process in which the HRC probes every U.N. member-state’s human rights record once every four years.

The United States’ UPR is set for Nov. 5, when administration representatives will take part in a three-hour “interactive dialogue” with HRC members in Geneva, based on this report as well as others submitted by U.N. experts and civil society groups.

Obama, like the UN, believes that although the US is nothing exceptional, we don’t deserve the standard of living and freedoms we possess. The rest of the world wants what we have, but don’t seem to have the brains or willpower to do what’s necessary to establish a democratic republic. Greed and arrogance get in the way.) Since Obama is nothing more than a sleazy little Chicago thug, he feels quite at home with UN’s thugocracy. Most of Mexico and points south is migrating northward to the Rio Grande. They have dreams of streets paved with gold, education, healthcare, etc..

But they also dream of the freedom to live without drug cartels beheading loved ones, etc.. The problem is, besides invading the US, that they bring along the baggage of their native culture and language, which many if not most are reluctant to abandon. Assimilation isn’t on the menu, even if the democrats ram their immigration amnesty plan through Congress. And what we’ll be left with is that the Third World has moved in en masse and expects to be fed, clothed, housed, and educated.

The US will never be loved around the world because we have what everyone else wants and they think we don’t deserve it. Envy and jealousy. And now Zero’s busy killing the golden goose that is the world’s economic engine, that provides most of the disaster aid relief everywhere, new drugs to alleviate human misery...the list is endless. Talk about stupid.

And America's first step in answering the UN will begin the process in November of ridding America of radical liberal ANTI-Americans like Obama who want to destroy our country.
