Another dimwitted apologist. I don’t see him defending the Sikhs in his country who were told to convert or leave. I guess the Sikhs should be happy that the Mohammedans didn’t just kill them.

I've been there too. My recollection is that the mosque in Cordoba was built on the site of a church and, after the Reconquista, a church was built within the mosque and remains there to this day.

With that history, the Cordoba Project in New York can easily be seen as payback. They took our sacred place in Spain and built a mosque on it. We took it back and converted it to a church. Now, once again they have destroyed an important (although not sacred) place and want to put a mosque on it. Truly, naming it the Cordoba Project was more than a little "in your face."

Never forget that Islam used Spain, or Andalusia, as a base from which to invade what is now France...Charles Martel, grandfather of Charlemagne, led the Frankish armies to victory against the Cordoban invaders at Tours in 732. Note also, this was well before the Christian Crusades that the Muzzies whip us with all the time.

Indeed. I've been too busy and haven't been following this story very closely. I hadn't picked up on the name. It does sound like a slap in the face.
