Cameron's 'High Noon' Canceled At 11th Hour

"I want to call those deniers out into the street at high noon and shoot it out with those boneheads." James Cameron on global warming skeptics in March.

In March of this year, famed director and amateur hole stuffer James Cameron threw down the green gauntlet, stating in an interview that he wanted to debate global warming skeptics in a most public way, the better to expose them for having their heads "deeply up" their, um, abysses.

Cameron doesn't like global warming skeptics. Or the military. Or mining. Or, you know, Americans. So in the post-orgy afterglow following the success of everything-bashing Avatar, he was ready to mix it up. Right?

Alas, the gun-slinging was not to be.

James Cameron, who recently referred to AGW skeptics as "swine" dared Ann McElhinney to debate him. When push came to shove, he ran with his tail between his legs.

AGW keeps bringing in know-nothing celebs to push their agenda. When those celebs are faced with the prospect of a real challenge to their orthodoxy, they hide. I think it's worth noting when they do, as their propaganda is not inconsequential when it comes to influencing the average person or student.

Al Gore, who failed out of divinity school and barely made it through law school, who failed as a VP and is now THE authority on Anthropogenic Global Warming (and jets around in his obscene private jet to lecture Americans about how we need to reduce our “carbon footprint” whatever the hell that is)....

STILL refuses to debate AGW with ANYONE in a live debate.

Figures. Mouthpieces for the religious fervor of the green movement. They’re not interested in investigation or debate. Just acceptance and acquiescence.

I wish James Cameron would just go back to doing what he does best: making blockbuster movies with stunning visuals and horrible dialogue.

The problem with James Cameron is that because he has had everyone kissing his posterior for such a long time, he is beginning to believe he is a real scientist and the most brilliant man who ever lived.

These guys will jet anywhere, anytime, to refuse to debate with anyone. And they are serious!

James Cameron makes comic book-level movies. They aren’t great drama, they don’t contain anything that isn’t cliched in character or plot. But since they are shot with cutting-edge film technology, they are enjoyable (not really to me anymore, but...), and successful. When you are as successful as Cameron has been, and know a lot more about movie-making tech than most people in your industry, you believe you must be THAT smart in ALL areas.

Cameron is like one of those rocket scientists who couldn’t balance a checkbook. He has a huge ego, but doesn’t seem to realize he makes childish movies that will probably be forgotten once the next leap in technology comes, because his stories aren’t all that interesting, and his characters are paper-thin.

The arts are one of the few areas you can get to be mega-rich and still be stupid. Athletics is another area. Cameron is mega-rich and thinks he's smart. In a debate with any knowledgeable person in the area of climate he'd get his clock cleaned. He, like Al Gore knows this deep down inside and that's why he won't debate. I'd give a months pay to see Al Gore debate Lord Monckton. He'd be shredded in no time. The same goes for Cameron. He's essentially a hit and run artist. He makes outrageous statements but only goes on shows where people agree with him. What a intellectual coward.

I'm even less fond of his moronic motion pictures now.

AGW a small but well funded cult of the Left. My WAG is that in a few years it will unPC to even mention that said so and so was in this cult.

A story about Al Gore that I got from another person:

Back in the day when I lived in the DC area, I was in a game store on Rte 7 in Falls Church which we called "The Geeky Weasel" (source of much D&D related gunk). Anyway, one of the regulars there was an Air Force lower-enlisted who cleaned the toilets on Air Force One and Two for a living. (In spite of the menial labor, such a job is a mark of one on the rise in the Air Force, like being a member of the Honor Guard at the Tomb of the Unknowns; everyone assigned to AF1/2 is going places.)

He related to me one incident where Mr. Gore asked for a martini to be brought to him and it was made without vermouth. He threw it in the face of the female Air Force captain who served it to him; she *resigned her USAF officer's commission on the spot.*

"Bill Clinton," he said, "is actually pretty decent in private; he treated us like normal people, although he likes to flirt with pretty women. Hillary treated us like servants, Tipper like slaves. But Al Gore is a total [SOB]. Pray he never gets into the White House."

Only if they find another cult to replace it. The need that AGW filled for them still exists.

ALGORE-—

He took a leave of absence from The Tennessean to attend Vanderbilt University Law School in 1974. His decision to become an attorney was a partial result of his time as a journalist, as he realized that while he could expose corruption, he could not change it.[2] Gore did not complete law school, deciding abruptly in 1976 to run for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives” when he found out that his father’s former seat in the House was about to be vacated.[2][43]
