He has a point, sort of. I grew up in Clearwater, Fl. Where the Scientologists have literally taken over the downtown area in the last 30 years. They pay no property taxes and are a cult disguised as religion. Everyone hates these people but according to the Constitution, they have a right to build. I am a constitutionalist who believes is property rights as much as I hate these a-holes taking over my hometown.
That said, hey Ron Paul, drop the “neo-conservative” label. Its BS.
Actually, according to the Constitution, they have a right to worship. The 'right to build' isn't a right. They don't own the property and re the 10th Amendment, the citizens and local governments are the ones who have the say-so in regards to things like zoning.
Bill Clinton gave the Scientologists the designation of a religion.
I always find it funny how he blames "neo-cons" for all the ills of the world yet makes excuses for the actions of Islamo-Terrorists and almost ignores our Zeroist President.
Well we could say religious expression is allowed as long as it respected individual rights. So Scientology would not be allowed to keep people captive in slave labor camps in Hemet California, or Islam with Sharia law where men would be allowed to beat their women into submission.
Then if people want to keep their tax exemption, they would have to follow the law or be taxed like a regular business.
Well, thanks for your inpiut, but just because you hate somebody doesn’t mean it’s about hate for the rest of us. I LOVE Boeing, but that doesn’t mean I’d support building a 15 story Boeing satellite office overlooking the Hiroshima Atomic Bomb Dome.
