Yep, the Saudis have way too much influence on our foreign policy and our energy policy. That’s a big reason why this administration is so hostile towards the US oil industry and oil drilling off the US coasts. The Saudis don’t want the competition from the technically brilliant US oil industry and the vast amounts of oil we can produce in the US. The Saudis want us to continue importing huge amounts of oil from them at $80 per barrel instead of producing our own oil here.

Oddly enough, if you peel back the layers on the Cordoba initiative it leads to a plan by Iran called the Dialogue of Civilizations that was adopted by former UN sec gen Kofi Annan of the United Nations, the socialist Zapatero of Spain, and the islanicist president of Turkey under the name Alliance of Civilizations, not to mention one of Soro's "civil society" promoters and the Malaysian gov- not so much the Saudis except for the one jerk who tried to offer Guiliani the check after 9/11. Can't ask for more diversity than that.

How else do you expect them to pay for all the mosques they're building?
