Yes. See Post #59.
Oh, so enforcing our laws, wanting to retain our sovereignty and our culture is now "antagonizing" hispanics? That's the same crap I've been hearing for twenty years from the GOP and they STILL only get 30% of the vaunted hispanic vote.
That kind of thinking has us where we are now - invaded and very nearly taken over.
“The California Republican party did not endorse Arizonas SB 1070 during its semiannual convention this weekend, despite a push for a vote of support by conservative activists in the state.”
No doubt this act of pandering will now cause 75% or more of Latinos to vote Republican in Mexifornia.
Another brilliant strategy by the Republicans.
The Party of Stupid.
You are on a high horse when you should not be.
Timing is important. There is no need at all to make a frontal attack that will certainly fail when it can be delayed until the chance of success is improved.
The issue is being decided by the courts and solid legislative action by other states with majorities solidly behind them. California is not in that position. Putting the action off til better times will not adversely affect the outcome.
False premise. The majority of California's voters support Arizonas SB 1070.
Like other liberals, Whitman thinks she knows better than the lowly voters who she holds in contempt.
There you go again! You see standing up for the law, people having a right to support our sovereignty and supporting a state's right to defend itself from invasion as "antagonizing" and an "attack". It's fairly clear to me that you see winning an election as more important than going back to standing on principles.
On this we can agree.
What they need is a good Sharp...
"Right Turn Clyde."
Yes, indeed. J. Edgar has it exactly right. Useless, worthless and way past its expiration date—bye, bye CAGOP.
Thanks TOL.
