SAN DIEGO For the first time in memory, California Republicans have a diverse statewide slate of candidates to field this fall, a lineup their state party chairman calls "an inspirational ticket." Coupled with national momentum for conservatives, the California GOP is hoping this might be their breakthrough year.
Yet it's far from clear whether voters in California, where Democrats have a nearly 15-point voter registration advantage, will see the same glitter the GOP faithful perceive.

Just as in 2003, the CA GoP and conservatives and indies have a shot at 'winning' big. The motivation isn't quite as intense nor the crisis as far-reaching is open to debate.
Certainly a new element we know as the TEA Party has shown its power is in connecting thru a headless sensical movement and added even more intrigue as November looms.
It would be a shame to see the CA GoP getting too much credit here for work it has not proven able to perform or even interested in, like representing taxpayers and parents when they needed it most and not going green and gutting the state of jobs..
You can't have it both ways, yet they try.
Prepare for a bloodbath, in areas that were asumed RAT's nests.
Hear, hear! "Hapless" hardly begins to describe those CA GOP assclowns.
