I was there. I’d say 800-1,000. Certainly much higher than 500 but nowhere near 1,500.
Did you notice the twenty seconds of sun during Rodriguez’ “God Bless America”? I did, it touched my heart deeply and I’ve got a pretty hard shell.
I tried to check it out the other day on Google earth. They have the area noted, but obscured. You can’t see any ground details.
Isn't "bargaining with God" one of the five stages of grief? In this case, "if I act like muslims are my very best friends, will her death not have been an incineration unbearable to imagine caused by Islamic terrorists?"
Great job, you guys! (Or should I say "youse guys"?!)
it may have been only 2000 people, but this is big, you did good. it is world wide news.
There should have been 100,000 people there. What is wrong with New Yorkers?
In all the debates on all news channels nobody brings up Saint Nicholas church!
Barbra his wife if alive may have disagreed!
It was difficult for me to tell the demonstrations apart - Interesting how the Leftist/Islamist traitor class have become so darn PATRIOTIC and STALWART U.S. Constitution supporters.

Stunning, isn’t it?
Actually, what is wrong with Americans?
This mosque is a local issue with national implications. This issue is more important than the government takeover of healthcare and the raising of taxes yet hundreds of thousands to a couple of million people (myself included) showed up in Washington DC last 9-12-09 to rally and protest just that.
But how about the takeover of the United States of America by islam? Shouldnt that warrant hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people pouring into New York City to protest this? I believe that a one day protest here with millions of people coming from around the country would put a stop to this quickly.
A reasonable person could study islam and conclude that it seeks to insidiously permeate and then dominate the world primarily through the establishment of sharia. One could look around the world and see this happening right now in almost every country on earth.
In fact, it has been said that they (islamists) will use our own laws against us that protect them as they take over our country. They say this openly and to our face and they are doing it and unfortunately they are right!
Our way of life, our freedoms and our constitution are under continuous and relentless attacks that are either met and defeated or we lose everything.
Hopefully the islamists will build their cult/terrorist recruitment center somewhere else and we dont have to do this again. However, I believe they will press ahead with their victory mosque which means more and maybe bigger protests. If so, then you are all invited to the next one. Please come.
I agree completely. What I meant was why were there not more people protesting, since there are so many living in the area. I was hoping for a larger turnout.
Where am I? Republic of Panama.
I was doing my stint against Noriega 1987-89 and getting shot at.
My younger brother was working another area of the city.
A couple of my cousins and their friends were climbing transformer towers and then blowing them up.
Where were you?
There were no chicken wire fences between us and them.
Anymore questions?
“I was doing my stint against Noriega 1987-89 and getting shot at.”
Well, hey then, we both got shot at during that time frame. I was in the Persian Gulf area at the time.
Since then I’ve been shot at, had drug dealers try to stab me (couple of times), almost been run over by gang members, been dragged down the street hanging on to a truck, kicked in doors and faced armed scum several times (I’m not a cop, by the way, - just a law-abiding citizen who’s sick of the bullsh!t).
The guy who started this thread went to a rally and protested for a righteous cause. Giving him flak for not doing more than protesting is foolish. You weren’t there to back him up - were you? What would you have done? You got kids? Anyone who needs you around for survival? You don’t know this guy’s deal so don’t rag on him. At least he was there, doing something.
Thank you for your background.

Because it simply is not good enough.
We can send our military across the seas to areas we dont give a dang about after a certain point to come back dead and maimed. With these countries, it is like trying to convert Haiti into the present century. (Ive been to Haiti several times and it is a lost cause forever.)
Those who should be holding down the fort within our boarders while those who are at war never to come home again are too chicken to protect our U.S. within.
This really angers me.
Let them build it, people will come, to burn it!
