Went to the site and read Pat’s entire piece.
With all due respect to him, I came away with the same impression I have had for awhile now about Obama’s background, which was and is, you can make an equal case for his being a Muslim and for his being a Communist.
(You cannot be both, however.)
Yet, Pat in his headline and most of the text puts his strong emphasis on the Islamic factor. That might fit well with the current mosque bruhaha, but it doesn’t fit well with all of the Communism in his background.
Pat also mentions the contradiction of one claiming Christianity yet inviting so many pro-homosexuals to the WH.
Ok, that’s a fair point, but open pro-homosexuality also does not equate with Islam’s public face (we’ll leave its private face on that issue for another discussion).
My take has always been that Obama is a Marxist and a Muslim sympathizer. In his own mind, that is, because the Muslims think he is Muslim once he is born to a Muslim father, period, end of story.
One can sympathize with Muslims while being a Marxist whereas one cannot truly be both a Marxist and a Muslim.
Marxists are either atheists or if they profess Christianity or Judaism they interpret it under the banner of radical liberation theology, seeing God and/or Jesus and the OT prophets in social justice terms. They cannot, however, fit it with the Islamic religion and its theocratic state.
At one point, Pat asks the question, “Do you see a pattern developing here?” as he outlines Hussein’s personal history.
Honestly, I don’t see a pattern that fits the headline of this piece. Clever though it is, it leaves out the Marxism. And though the text includes that history as well, it never comes to grip with the contradiction.
You make very good points and I think the weight of the evidence is that Obama is a Marxist who knows Islam well enough, and likes its anti-Western aspects well enough, to use it as a temporary ally. Obama is the perfect incarnation of the weird modern anti-Western alliance between marxism and islam.
You could use the author's "logic" to say WND founder Joseph Farah is a Muslim.
I agree with you. For all his cultural islam and affinity for moslems, I’m really afraid he’s much more likely to be a communist.
i finally decided that, [rather than a commie thats a muzzie sympathizer], ole bambam is a jihadist muzzie, who uses the strongarm techniques of commie inspired and beloved, state power, to get-r-done without all the knee jerk expected from muzzie subversion...hell most of fedgov is ok with crepping progressivism anyway...
in the end, when all the pieces are in place, the mask will come off, the turbin and beard will go on, and the useful idiots will all get daniel pearled on the south lawn...my .02
I agree with you. I think Obama is primarily a Marxist (though I don’t think he uses that term in his own mind, since he lacks any intellectual honesty whatsoever), and is secondarily a Muslim sympathizer, having grown up in the culture. I am willing to take him at his word that he is not actually a Muslim. But that doesn’t really matter. A Marxist, Muslim sympathizer in the WH is bad enough!
I am amused lately by the spate of AP stories whining about how everyone thinks O’s a Muslim. Um, ya know what? If you are secretive about yourself, people will fill in the gaps for you, accurately or not. If you don’t want that to happen, you need to be upfront about your own past first!
