This next election is a very important test for California voters. If they elect Brown instead of Whitman, even after democrats caused a huge fiscal disaster since Wilson left office, that would prove that the voters don’t know what’s going on in their own state and it would probably lead to a severe cash crisis and effectively bankruptcy for CA.

I don’t care if Meg Whitman is spending too much money on her campaign. She still knows 100 times more about business, finance, and economics than Jerry Brown knows, and if the voters elect Brown that will prove that the voters are hopelessly dumb and uninformed, and mindlessly dependent on government. At this point, I think the California economy is so bad that Whitman will probably win in a squeaker. She should win in a landslide but there are so many idiotic voters in CA that she’ll probably only win by 1-2%.

No. It proves nothing of the kind. There are a whole slew of variables involved, many having to do with the GOP candidate herself.

I'm as pessimistic as can be. What I'm really pessimistic about is the California Voter. They are idiots, plain and simple. Most are just totally clueless. Cause and effect doesn't seem to be a concept that they grasp. I think it's in influx of immigrants over the past 40 years along with parasites from the other states who come to CA looking for all sorts of benefits. As my elderly neighbor says: We now have more takers than makers.

The Voters here approved high speed rail even though we cannot even balance our current budget. They expect benefits from the state even if they drive business out. Who's going to create the jobs that pay the taxes. These Democrats and most of them are Democrats just cannot grasp these unpleasant facts.

I agree that if Brown is elected the state is finished. Even if Whitman is elected, she will need to be a miracle worker to accomplish anything. How is she going to deal with all those Democrats in the state legislature? As I first stated I'm very pessimistic.
