I have to admit that the NASA Islam story was probably the most comical political story of the year. And the fact that a major NASA administrator and leader took the President’s words absolutely serious...makes it even twice as funny.
Somewhere out there....there’s this NASCAR chief who has been invited to the White House, and you can imagine this magical moment occurring where NASCAR is asked by the President to make the ‘sport’ more appealing to the Muslim faith. The NASCAR chief would go and recruit one of the Petty clan to join up, change his name, and race as ‘Muhammad Petty’. And you can sit there and imagine these guys working for MSNBC trying to keep a straight face as this is explained as a pro-Obama policy. The best you can do is laugh until tears roll down, and then wonder why NASCAR would be that stupid.
