>>I have muslim friends.even they dont want the mosque at ground zero.<<
Are you sure that’s their opinion amongst each other or just when you enter the conversation?
This Ground Zero fight is raising STRONGER distaste for Muslims in all areas.
I had an acquaintance 12 years ago who had a martial arts studio near my shop and he would come in on his lunch hour and
eat his sandwu=iches with me. After the third visit I found that there was only one subject we could talk about and he insisted on talking it, that was my prospective conversion. Everything else that might come up turned immediately to that.
I experienced that with a doctor of good reputation later and hear that that is the normal mode of interaction with Moslems.
My friend who has an appliance repair shop had that experience with a Moslem salesman who came to sell him a line of appliances. Five minutes talking about gas fireplaces and the rest talking about conversion. I do not treat Moslems as individuals anymore. They are just Moslems and not worth talking to.
NO they said before I ever voiced an opinion. They have 2 small children to raise here and dont think a mosque at ground zero will sew good seeds toward their children. They worry about there kids being disliked in school(that sort of thing). The husband is Iranian(manages apartments) and the wife(in nursing school) is a convert.
