“The tragic shooting of military personnel at Fort Hood in November 2009 underscored the need for the DoD to review its approach to force protection and to broaden its force protection policies, programs, and procedures to go beyond their traditional focus on hostile external threats,” the Pentagon said Friday.

Here's an idea, how bout giving them guns. It's the military after all.

In reading the reports, it surprised me the military personnel did not have the same “active shooter” training the civilian police had. Once the civilian police were on the scene, the killer was put down in LESS THAN 90 SECONDS.
