I share the frustration with financial extortion which goes to political action, compensation packages exceeding the markets ability to afford them, and fully funding exec pensions while leaving the rank and file critically unfunded.
Just think that for trades requiring a skill, unions could serve a good purpose, without the crap as there would still exist a need for some sort of licensing and proficiency testing.
To me, it seems like useful unions were subjected to a takeover in a way...and indeed are 10 foot ‘gators! Was thinking it would be nice to tame the beast, rather than kill it. All could benefit: companies, workers, and end users of the fruits of the labor, which is really how it should be, don’t you think?
The good guy’s are going to have to run for union leadership and to learn to brave the crapstorms and even arm themselves for the threats that will be levied against them. Much of the upper management and leaderships of these unions are folks who’ve never carried a pick ax or driven a truck but they are mobsters who employ goons when they need to. It will take out and out war to uproot these vipers!
