I didn’t think that was physically possible.

It varies greatly from breed to breed. That's why I like the Buffs. They're also very tame and don't put up much of fuss when you gather their eggs. I've had mixed breed Pullets that would only lay an egg every three or four days, too. 'Course, as they get older the amount of eggs they lay drops off on all breeds.

I’ve never kept Buffs, but they’re very attractive birds and would be my first choice if I raised chickens again. Theoretically we can’t have them in the subdivision, but a couple more foreclosures in the neighborhood and that rule will probably fade. Roosters may be a way off.
