These scum in the radio industry nearly destroyed satellite radio by delaying the merger of Sirius and XM for over a year. Now they want to use the government to mandate every mobile device has an FM receiver.

I’m tired of the government being big enough, and corrupt enough, to help them.

I'm embarrassed to admit, that even though I have a masters in electrical engineering, I had read the article to figure out what the headline meant by “FM”. I mean FM is so totally 20th Century.

The buggy whip manufacturers demand that all cars be steered and braked with leather reins and accelerated by striking the hood with a whip.
Will there be a minimum quality and amplification required, or will the FM radios be as bad as many are now where it seems like the designer just put in the FM chip but left out the antenna so you can only receive the station if you are within a half mile of the transmitter?

My EVO 4g has an fm radio. You need headphone for an antenna. Never used it. I stream Pandora or Slacker instead.

I mean the constitution is clear that the federal government has the obligation and right to force us pleebs to buy any product they wish, I mean... federal power is limitless right? /s
