Two conflicting pieces of evidence on the state of race relations in America. Exhibit A: an African-American elected to the White House amid tears of joy and a 53 percent vote share. Exhibit B: Sarah Palins cheeky, defiantand increasingly incendiarytweets.
On Wednesday, Palin leaped to defend radio host Dr. Laura Schlessinger, who used the N word 11 times when a black woman called her advice hotline last week. After the furor broke, Dr. Laura apologized for a horrible mistake. She also announced she would end her radio show so she could get her First Amendment rights back away from the media glareprompting a certain ex-governor in Wasilla to take to Twitter: "Dr.Laura:don't retreat...reload! (Steps aside bc her 1st Amend.rights ceased 2exist thx 2activists trying 2silence'isn't American, not fair')."
Later, Palin added: "Dr.Laura=even more powerful & effective w/out the shackles, so watch out Constitutional obstructionists. And b thankful 4 her voice,America!"
Its amazing what Twitter has done to political discourse.

Political correctness, especially in the area of race, is precisely what has gotten this country into this awful mess that we are in.
Robert Sheets Byrd (D-KKK) died still serving in the Senate long after he was caught on tape on tv defending his continued use of the n-word because “there are white n&&&ers as well as black n&&&ers” (in the words of Robert Byrd, liberal bigot).
The phony outrage over an innocently used word is just a tool used by the left to destroy conservative voices. When RATS say it they get a pass. Its a shame Laura S turned coward and ran. The leftys win again.
The phony outrage over a word. The PC clan live in a want to be utopia that can never be so they just pretend things, get the nets.
