The National Park Service said Thursday that it has approved the permit for the Aug. 28 Glenn Beck/Sarah Palin rally at the Lincoln Memorial.
Park Service spokesman Bill Line said the permit indicates that organizers expect 300,000 people to attend. Line said it is a "fixed rally" without a march. The rally will go from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

As a member of the Buzzard Party, he’ll have to get his marching orders from Duncan Hines or Pansey Graham endorser, Jim Demint.
That is what he said on O'Reilly last night. Speakers who "will blow you away" (think that was his phrase). He said he didn't want to announce their names now because they would be attacked.
Wow, that would make some heads explode.

Not many remember that funny show and all their schemes. Sharpton would have been a good character in the series.
I like Beck in many respects, but he seems fearful of anything but passive behavior in the face of the current degrading of our country and culture.
I think that Glenn has two speakers that he has not announced yet. I don’t know who they are, but he has announced Dr. Alveda King.
Anyone want to bet the “counter demonstration” gets 10 times the media coverage as the 8/28 event?
I wouldn’t take that bet. And he’ll probably have 5 paid protesters!

Thanks. It’s been an adventure. I’ve been here about 8 months without the family and a few weeks with. We picked up a house in Aberdeen and it seems like a decent area. Once I get around to it, I’ll get to annoy my neighbors when I put up my flagpole and fly the Gadsen flag.

Doubt that will bother the good folks in Aberdeen. The proving grounds being there, and its location in (relatively speaking) conservative Harford county work in your favor.

It’s not the Beck/Palin rally. This is Glenn Beck’s event that several notables, Sarah Palin among them, will be appearing at. It’s apparently no news that the permit has just been granted, although I would have thought that it would have been granted last year during the planning stages. Wouldn’t make any difference though. That is the land of the American people. I would hold an event, pray, sing the National Anthem, etc without permission. I’d also bring in more portapotties. This thing is gonna be hugh! Wish I could be there. Sigh.
Al couldn’t join with Beck at a faith filled gathering. Only real clergy would go.
I’ll bet there will be alot of bikers there. You wouldn’t be alone by any means. Get the money and go.
Big part of the reason I bought here. 30 mile ride to work is a pain, but I think it’ll be worth it.
