Park Service spokesman Bill Line said the permit indicates that organizers expect 300,000 people to attend. Line said it is a "fixed rally" without a march. The rally will go from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The park service is processing a permit request for a counter demonstration and rally by the Rev. Al Sharpton...

Me too, Pen. The time away was the problem. We should gave just made plans to fly: 2 nights 3 days. It’s going to be a granfd success and I’m happy about that, too, but I’ll wish we were there the whole time.

“I had to move fro Michigan to Maryland this year”

Welcome to the state. I would like to say it gets better but it doesn’t. Been here all my life (well, almost).

I'll be there for 8/28. I'll be at 9/12. I hope both events have turnouts like last 9/12.

Us too. Last 9/12 ws great!

Maybe this time it will get media coverage.

Driving into DC on I-66 from the west the first prominent structure you pass in DC is the Lincoln Memorial. After 8 years of construction it was completed in 1922, and was designed by Henry Bacon, it sits on what was formerly swampland. The stone is Yule Marble brought all the way from Marble, Colorado.

Not quite, it sits on what was formerly the Potomac River. Which used to extend up to 17th St. NW (the lock-keepers house for the old canal that ran up along where Constitution Ave today identifies where the Potomac stopped)

Nope. Mt. Clemens. I actually sold my house and it wasn’t a foreclosure and I wasn’t upside down.

Thanks. It’s been an adventure. I’ve been here about 8 months without the family and a few weeks with. We picked up a house in Aberdeen and it seems like a decent area. Once I get around to it, I’ll get to annoy my neighbors when I put up my flagpole and fly the Gadsen flag.

Awesome photos. Before my last trip to DC a couple years nack, I hadn’t been there for decades -— actually since I was a very young girl of age five. I clearly remembered Lincoln’s Memorial and standing there crying because he had been shot and killed, and the WH of course and a black man that tried to break into our family’s car, my dad tackling him, and going to the police station etc.

On the more recent trip I got to go into the West Wing to see GWB’s Oval office and the nice Secret Service agent even allowed me into the Situation Room to sit in President Bush’s chair! I have pics of it stored here in my FR mail to myself. It kills me to realize that the Marxist is soiling the WH. He doesn’t belong in it. Shame on everyone that voted for him.

WillDMac, AggieSteph, and I are all going together. If there is any kinda formal meeting, gathering up of Freepers, we’d definitely like to meet some of you all. We’ll be in Washington for the rally the next day too, we’re shaky on the details of that rally, so not positive if we’ll go to that event or not. If there is any kind of metting up going around, it would be great.

There is a rally on 08/29 from 10:00A to 12:00P, at the Senate park, for those who don’t have the money to come back 2 weeks later for the 9/12.

“8/29 TEA PARTY!
10 am - Noon
Upper Senate Park
Recycle Government:
Repeal, Replace, Restore!”

The entire intent is to have FReepers meet!

If the New Black Panthers show up, this could be the start of the 2nd Civil War.
