I honestly think the author is overstating Dutch anti-Semitism, it’s actually Muslim anti-Semitism that he is referring to. Yes, there were Dutch collaborators during WWII but they have been very honest about the past as exhibited in the Resistance Museum in Amsterdam and they are very blunt about the role of collaborators as well as the resistance which did fight bravely and whose role was not inflated as with the French resistance.
Holland is waking up with Geert Wilders and before him Pym Fortuyn. This is a company that can be very hard headed just like many of the other countries in Europe when they reach that tipping point. They have deported many Muslims recently and I can see them continuing to do so as Wilders gains popularity.
Once one country has the moral clarity to take substantive and stalwart action, I believe others will follow. I thought it might be the Danes, and unlikely as it seems, for a while the French under Sarkozy. I wouldn't have predicted the Dutch, but if it is to be them as the bellwether, Godspeed.
