Remember when Jack Tatum hit Earl Campbell dead center at the goal line and succeeded in knocking both of them virtually out??!!Earl scored.
I believe it was Tatus who said "it was like trying to tackle a coke machine."

Obviously the Assassin Jack Tatum didn't hit as hard as Donnie Shell did when he tackled Earl with a hit to the ribs that essentially ended Earls career. Earl was never the same after that one hit since he broke and bruised several ribs. Then again it was legal at the time to helmet tackle and Shell's helmet rested on his shoulder pads. Earl was headed for the end zone but fumbled the ball on the play too!
