I guess I lived in California too long, they seemed normal to me, think that is why I thought it was so funny. Also I’m of that generation...... and like you I detest Alec Baldwin, but no one was more perfect for that role than him.
No kidding...self centered, arrogant, unfeeling...a general all around twit for the character. Fit like a glove!
